Spanish Language Podcast on Public Safety Delivers Hope to L.A.

An empty Olvera Street in Los Angeles.

MySafe:LA is introducing a new Spanish Language podcast as part of its CityTalk:LA podcast programming. The second season of CityTalk:LA will feature a wide range of topics, including Spanish language informative information for those people living in L.A. who are not primarily English speakers.

We have some wonderful and capable Spanish speakers on our team,” David Barrett, Executive Officer shared prior to the release of the new podcast. “Reaching the Spanish speaking population in Los Angeles is really just reaching the population in Los Angeles, and we’re very concerned that the right messages may not be getting out to them, notably to anyone who is vulnerable to the current virus spread, or is at home, uncertain about what to do.”

The podcast features some of MySafe:LA’s talented members, including EMT Luis Fierro, Educator Victoria Garcia, and Community Outreach Specialist Marlene Vega. Produced by MySafe:LA logistics manager and former radio executive Chris Nevil, the podcast is available via the MySafe:LA podcast network page.
