During the labor day weekend, MySafe:LA delivered for Fleet Week 2019. Our public safety teams taught CPR, set up smoke alarm installations throughout Southern California, and conducted raffle ticket awards on an hourly basis. Fleet Week visitors won fire extinguishers, GO bags, smoke alarms, and other fun gifts.
Overall, more than 650 people learned CPR, 87 appointments to install smoke alarms were organized, and 245 smoke alarms were given away (with completed pledge forms to install them). Everyone had a terrific time.
As with all of our Fleet Week work, we partnered with the Los Angeles Fire Department, the Mayor’s Office (via Deputy Mayor Jeff Gorell), and with the Port of Los Angeles. Fleet Week has become one of our favorite events, and we’re looking forward to 2020!
