Teachers using online e-learning tools

Online learning: Part of the education process is to ensure that courses are available that can be used in the classroom, for your own awareness, and for families that have children in L.A. area schools. How does this work? MySafe:LA offers a complete online learning center. The learning center has courses that are available to the general public (at no cost). Separately, there are courses that are available to you for your own use, including registering and teaching using the online campus - right in your classroom. The online learning center includes a wide range of capabilities, is fully SCORM compliant, and continues to evolve.

You may learn more about the online education center via our Educator FAQ: Click here.

You may access the MySafe:LA online education center: Click here.

NOTE: Courseware is being developed continually. If you don't find a course you're looking for, we'd like to hear from you. You can reach us at 213-485-8040, or via email at info @ mysafela dot org.

Get Ready, Get Set, GO! - Several dangerous fires are burning in the greater Los Angeles area and several thousand homes are potentially in harm's way. A wildfire is unlike any other type of fire. It's not contained in a building. It's subject to the wind, the fuel load, and the topology of the area in which it is burning. As a wildfire grows, it can create its own "climate" and change direction, speed, and ferocity. Don't get surprised and worse, trapped. When authorities say, "evacuate," do it.
