Get Ready to Be A Hero...

There's no better feeling than seeing a bunch of kids looking up at you with eyes as big as flying saucers. To kids everywhere, firefighters are heros. A school visit gives firefighters and children the chance to interact in a positive, non-emergency forum. For a firefighter, it allows you the invaluable opportunity to meet the children of your first-in district. For a child, it's an unforgettable event.

MySafe:LA takes care of the logistical and administrative issues related to school visits. We handle the phone calls, scheduling, permissions, teaching materials, and even the follow-up. You show up with your company and show the kids what you do...

To make things work ideally, our team pre-certifies all LAFD resources who may participate in these school visits. The drill takes approximatley 30 minutes and includes a preview of the video materials used at the school, talking points for the senior officer, and a question and answer session with the members.

When you arrive for a school visit, MySafe:LA staff members are on-hand, ready to ensure your program goes off without a hitch. We bring the projectors, video, and education supplies. You bring the expertise and the fun.

If you're interested in learning more about the program, don't hesitate to give us a call: 213-485-8040. We're based at the Frank Hotchkin Memorial Training Center (Frank's Place). You can also contact us via email: firefighter @ mysafela dot org
