The USGS reports a 4.4 magnitude earthquake occurred this morning in the greater Los Angeles area. The quake, which hit at 4 a.m. PDT,  was centered about 10 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, near Pico Rivera. No injuries have been reported as a direct result of the quake. Are you earthquake ready?
