Today, in a mobile society, we tend to take things for granted. In the Los Angeles area, there are many duplicate sounding places. There is a 2nd Street in Santa Monica; a 2nd Street in downtown L.A.; a 2nd Street in San Pedro - so if you can't say exactly where you are, the 9-1-1 dispatcher and safety officer will have a difficult time getting resources to you in a timely fashion.
