On a cold winter’s day in 2003, two of our founding officers were sitting in a fire station asking about public fire education. What they learned led them to develop an organization that is now embraced by hundreds of thousands of people.
MySafe:LA works closely with a number of public and private agencies to promote fire and life safety in the greater Los Angeles area. Our partners help us convey strong educational content that creates safer individuals and families. Our contributors give us the fuel to execute our programs.
MySafe:LA takes no money from the Los Angeles Fire Department or the City of LA. We pay for all of our programs and operating expenses through grants and gifts. We exist because of people like you – thoughtful, caring, and community-minded. LA’s population continues to grow. Disasters like wildfires and earthquakes are ever present. Every year there are more people to prepare, more kids to teach, and more older adults to keep safe. Help us continue our mission. Help us make LA safer, more prepared and more resilient.
Volunteer and help us make a difference in the Los Angeles community. We’re saving lives daily.
